Peace for Life Ghana Strengthens Staff Capacity on Preventing Violent Extremism

Peace for Life Ghana has strengthened the capacity of its staff on Preventing Violent Extremism (PVE) following its participation in a five-day PVE course for Civil Society Organizations held from 24–28 August 2026 in Bolgatanga.The training which was organized by Catholic Relief Service(CRS), covered important areas including violent extremism and radicalization, Ghana’s PVE framework, conflict-sensitive programming, youth vulnerability, community resilience, early warning, social accountability, human rights, online radicalization, and collaboration between CSOs and security institutions.

Following the course, Peace for Life Ghana organized a step-down training for its staff to share the knowledge and lessons gained and strengthen the team’s understanding of how PVE approaches can be integrated into the organization’s programmes.The training reinforced the importance of inclusive community engagement, conflict-sensitive programming, youth and marginalized groups participation, early warning, community resilience and collaboration in promoting peaceful and resilient communities.

Peace for Life Ghana remains committed to continuous staff development and strengthening its capacity to contribute to peacebuilding, community resilience and the prevention of violent extremism in Northern Ghana.
